Capitol Entertainment Services, Inc. (CES) was incorporated in the District of Columbia in 1979 and is currently celebrating its 30th year of providing bus transportation services and guided sightseeing tours of the Nation's Capital. The company was founded by John Best, who currently serves as President and Chief Executive Officer. CES is a District of Columbia Government certified LSBE. CES operates a fleet buses consisting of deluxe motorcoaches, 50 to 57 passengers, and mini-buses (21 to 30 passengers). CES offers a variety of packaged group tours (tour guide, tour bus, and tour itinerary) including "National Monuments and Memorials Tours", "African American Heritage Tours," "Student Discovery Tour," and a regularly scheduled "Washington, DC Sightseeing Tour" from selected hotels.
Sightseeing Tours
CES has offered a variety of guided sightseeing tours of the Nation's Capital. Our "African-American Heritage Tour of Washington, DC" and "Duke Ellington Neighborhood Tours" were designated offciial White House Millenium American Pathways 2000 Tours. Tour groups enjoy the many interesting and informative American history facts during our "National Monumnet and Memorial Tour". Student groups experince exciting and fascinating exhibits on our "Education Tour" during school trips. Hotel guest and other visitors can take our regularly scheduled "Washington, DC Sightseeing Tour" from selected hotels and other locations. All tours are conducted by professional tour guides.
CES Tour Guide Training School
In 1985, CES was authorized by the District Government's Licensure Commission to operate the "Capitol Entertainment Services Proprietary our Guide Training School" as a non- degree post secondary training program. CES have graduated more than 300 tour guides maintaining an average of 96% of its graduates obtaining a tour guide license from the District Government. Additionally to employing the graduates to conduct CES tours, step-on guide service is hired to tour bus groups visiting Washington.
Charter Bus Service
CES is a fully authorized commercisal motor caarier certified by the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Commission (WMATC #193) to operate throughout the continental United States. The company is also authorized by the Department of Transportation (USDOT #477173) and the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (MC239589).
